Tammy Lynn Gilmore is a dynamic community builder and live events producer with a passion for creating meaningful connections where technology, art, creativity, science, and human rights intersect. She is the creator of the SXSW Community Grant Program and founded the Social Impact track at SXSW, bringing together changemakers from around the world to share ideas and inspire action.
Her extensive career includes curating international innovation summits for Singularity University in over 20 countries, producing live broadcasts for EarthxFilm, and working on projects like the UN-endorsed Digital Public Goods Alliance campaign launch and the first-ever exhibition for the Africa CDC’s International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA).
Tammy Lynn also builds communities in more personal ways. She was the Community Lead for Gowalla, a location-based social app connecting friends in the real world. She assistant teaches a songwriting workshop at the Omega Institute of Holistic Studies and performs in a musical duo with her husband, Colin Gilmore. For Tammy Lynn, music serves as both a bridge between cultures and a tool for fostering community.
